Swift Serve LLC, a California limited liability company ("Swift Serve LLC," "we," "us," "our"), which does business under the brand name Swift Serve SoCal, based in Rancho Cucamonga, California, respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect when you visit our website or contact us by phone, text, or email, how we use it, and the choices and rights you have, including under California law.
1. Our Website and Quote Form
- Our website does not use cookies, analytics, advertising pixels, or other tracking technologies, and it has no user accounts. Fonts and images are hosted with the site, so visiting it does not send your information to third-party font or ad services.
- Service request form: if you use our service request form, we receive the information you enter: your name, email, and phone; the subject (type of papers or case name); the full name of the person to be served; the service address (street, city, ZIP); whether it is a residence or business; and, if you choose to provide them, a description of the person to be served (such as physical description, vehicle, best times to find them, or workplace), whether rush service is needed, and additional notes. Form submissions are processed and stored for us by our website host, Netlify, and forwarded to us by email notification so we can respond. Please do not upload or paste court documents into the form; we will arrange how to receive documents after we talk.
- Like any website, our hosting provider automatically records basic technical information (such as IP address, browser type, and the date and time of your visit) in server logs for security, spam prevention, and operations. We do not use this information to identify you.
- Do Not Track: Because we do not track visitors across websites or over time, we do not change our practices in response to "Do Not Track" or Global Privacy Control signals; there is no tracking to turn off.
2. Information We Collect When You Contact Us
When you call or text us at 760‑961‑1813, submit our service request form, or otherwise communicate with us about a job, we collect only what you choose to give us and what we need to do the job, which may include:
- Client contact details: name, phone number, email address, mailing address, and law firm or company name.
- Case information: the documents to be served and details such as court, case number, hearing dates, and deadlines.
- Information about the person or entity to be served, as provided by the client: name, home or work address, and identifying details such as a physical description, photo, vehicle, or schedule.
- Service records we create while attempting service: dates, times, locations, descriptions, notes, and in some cases photos or GPS records documenting service.
- Payment information needed to confirm your payment. You pay with PayPal, Zelle, Cash App or Venmo from your own account; we record the payment method, the amount, the date, and any note you add when you tell us you have sent payment, plus what we see in our own account when the payment arrives (such as the sender's name). We never receive or store card numbers, security codes (CVV) or bank-account numbers.
- Photo and video documentation of each serve: a photo or Meta glasses video of the service and/or a photo of the property. These may show the person served, the property, and the date, time, and location.
3. How We Use Information
We use personal information only to:
- Respond to your inquiry and prepare quotes.
- Schedule, perform, and document service of process.
- Prepare proofs of service, declarations of diligence, and attempt reports.
- Process payments and keep required business and tax records.
- Comply with the law, court orders, and process server registration requirements.
We do not use your information for advertising, and we do not send marketing messages unless you ask us to.
4. How We Share Information
- We do not sell personal information, and we do not "share" it for cross-context behavioral advertising (as those terms are defined in the California Consumer Privacy Act).
- Proofs of service and declarations are provided to the client who hired us and may be filed with the court.
- We may disclose information when required by law, subpoena, or court order, or to protect someone's safety.
- We use ordinary service providers to run the business (such as phone, email, web hosting and form processing by Netlify), only as needed to provide our services. PayPal, Zelle (through your bank), Cash App and Venmo process the payments you send under their own terms and privacy policies.
5. Photos and Video
Photos and video of service. Photos and video of the service and of the property are collected solely to document that service was made. They are shared only with the client who hired us and with the court as needed (for example, to support a proof of service). They are never sold or posted publicly, and they are recorded in compliance with California law: we record only from places where we are lawfully present and do not record confidential communications without the consent required by California law (including Penal Code section 632). Recordings may be stored on the device or cloud service used to capture them (for example, the Meta app) and are kept and deleted under our retention practices below.
6. Data Retention
We keep personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described above. Records of service (such as proofs of service, attempt notes, photos, video, and related correspondence) are kept so we can support the service if it is questioned in court and to meet legal, tax, and business recordkeeping requirements; we generally keep them for up to five years after the job is completed, or longer if a case, dispute, or legal requirement makes it necessary. Inquiries that do not become a job are deleted when no longer needed. Original documents are returned to the client or securely destroyed, as agreed.
7. Security
We use reasonable safeguards, including keeping paper documents secured, using password-protected devices and accounts, and limiting access to those who need it to perform the service. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure.
8. Your California Privacy Rights
California residents may have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CCPA), and other California laws. Swift Serve LLC is a small business and may not meet the CCPA's thresholds for a covered "business," but we voluntarily honor the following requests where we reasonably can:
- Right to know what personal information we have collected about you, and how we use and disclose it.
- Right to access a copy of your personal information.
- Right to correct inaccurate personal information.
- Right to delete your personal information.
- Right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. (We do not sell or share personal information.)
- Right to non-discrimination for exercising any of these rights.
Some information cannot be deleted or changed because we must keep it to comply with the law, to support a proof of service filed with a court, or to establish or defend legal claims. We will tell you if this applies.
How to make a request: use the request form on our website or call 760‑961‑1813. We will verify your identity before responding and will respond within 45 days. You may use an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf. You can also contact us at any time, through the request form or by phone, to review or correct the information you have given us.
9. Children's Privacy
Our website and services are not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information except where required to serve legal documents as directed by a client or court.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the updated version on this page and change the "Last updated" date above.
