Process Serving Services

Detailed information on each service we offer across the Inland Empire and Los Angeles County. Services from $60 to $200.

Summons & Complaints

Personal and substituted service of civil summonses and complaints to start your case.

Quote this service

A civil case usually starts with a Summons and Complaint that must be delivered to each defendant in a way the law allows. We attempt personal service first, handing the papers directly to the person named.

If personal delivery cannot be made with reasonable diligence, California law allows substituted service on an individual in some situations: leaving the papers with a competent adult at the home or business and then mailing a copy. We document every attempt so a declaration of diligence is available if you need it.

What we need from you

  • File-stamped Summons and Complaint (and any attachments the court requires, such as a Civil Case Cover Sheet or ADR package)
  • Full name of each defendant, plus home and/or work address
  • A photo or description, vehicle, and the best times to find them, if you have them
  • Your filing date and any hearing date
Good to know: In most civil cases, the complaint must be served and the proof of service filed within 60 days after the complaint is filed (Cal. Rules of Court, rule 3.110(b)). Substituted service is complete on the 10th day after mailing (Code Civ. Proc. § 415.20).

Every serve includes a signed proof of service plus a photo or Meta glasses video of the service and/or a photo of the property. This is general information, not legal advice.

Subpoenas

Timely service of subpoenas for witnesses, records, and depositions.

Quote this service

Subpoenas order a person to appear in court or at a deposition, or to produce records. Because a hearing or deposition date is usually involved, timing matters, so tell us your date up front.

We serve the person or business named and return a signed proof of service. Some subpoenas, such as those for personal records, have additional notice rules that your attorney or the court's self-help resources can explain.

What we need from you

  • The issued subpoena and any required attachments or witness fees you intend to tender
  • Name and address of the witness or records custodian
  • The appearance, deposition, or production date
Good to know: Witness subpoenas are generally served by personally delivering a copy to the witness (Code Civ. Proc. § 1987(a)). Ask your attorney or court self-help center which rules apply to your subpoena.

Every serve includes a signed proof of service plus a photo or Meta glasses video of the service and/or a photo of the property. This is general information, not legal advice.

Small Claims Papers

Service of small claims papers so your hearing can move forward on schedule.

Quote this service

In small claims court you cannot serve the papers yourself; another adult who is not part of the case must do it. A registered process server is one of the options the courts list.

We serve the Plaintiff's Claim and Order and complete the proof of service form for you to file with the clerk before your hearing.

What we need from you

  • Your filed Plaintiff's Claim and Order to Go to Small Claims Court (form SC-100)
  • Name and address of each defendant
  • Your hearing date
Good to know: Service must be completed at least 15 days before the hearing if the defendant lives in the county where you filed, or 20 days if outside the county (Code Civ. Proc. § 116.340; California Courts Self-Help Guide).

Every serve includes a signed proof of service plus a photo or Meta glasses video of the service and/or a photo of the property. This is general information, not legal advice.

Family Law & Divorce Papers

Respectful, discreet service of divorce, custody, support, and other family law papers.

Quote this service

Family law cases, including divorce (dissolution), legal separation, custody, and support, start with papers that must be served on the other party. A party cannot serve their own papers, so a neutral adult or a registered process server is used.

We handle family law service calmly and discreetly, and we return a signed proof of service so your case can move forward.

What we need from you

  • Copies of the filed Petition, Summons, and any blank Response forms or other papers the court requires
  • Name, address, and a photo or description of the other party
  • Any safety concerns we should know about
Good to know: Family law papers must be served by someone 18 or older who is not a party to the case (California Courts Self-Help Guide; see also Code Civ. Proc. § 414.10).

Every serve includes a signed proof of service plus a photo or Meta glasses video of the service and/or a photo of the property. This is general information, not legal advice.

Restraining Orders

Prompt personal service of restraining order papers and related court documents.

Quote this service

Restraining order papers usually must be personally served on the restrained person before the hearing. You can never serve them yourself.

Courts note that a sheriff or marshal can serve domestic violence restraining order papers for free. Some people choose a registered process server instead; if you do, we serve the papers personally and complete the proof of personal service for you to file.

What we need from you

  • All papers to be served (for example, the request, the temporary order, and the notice of hearing)
  • Address(es) and times the person can be found, plus a photo or description
  • Your service deadline, which is shown on the notice of court hearing
Good to know: The server must be 18 or older and not a person protected by the order or otherwise involved in the case; the sheriff can serve DVRO papers at no cost (California Courts Self-Help Guide, form DV-200-INFO). Think about safety: if serving could be dangerous, consider asking the sheriff.

Every serve includes a signed proof of service plus a photo or Meta glasses video of the service and/or a photo of the property. This is general information, not legal advice.

Eviction Notices & Unlawful Detainer

Service of landlord-tenant notices and unlawful detainer (eviction) court papers.

Quote this service

Landlords often need two kinds of service: pre-filing notices (such as a 3-day notice) and, if a case is filed, the Summons and Complaint for unlawful detainer. Each has its own service rules.

We serve notices and court papers as you direct and return a signed proof of service. We do not advise on which notice to use or how to fill it out.

What we need from you

  • The completed notice, or the filed Summons (form SUM-130) and Complaint (form UD-100)
  • The tenant names and the full unit address
  • Any gate codes, building access instructions, or safety notes
Good to know: Since January 1, 2025, a tenant who is handed eviction court papers generally has 10 court days to respond (AB 2347, Stats. 2024, ch. 512; California Courts Self-Help Guide). Landlord notices are served under Code Civ. Proc. § 1162.

Every serve includes a signed proof of service plus a photo or Meta glasses video of the service and/or a photo of the property. This is general information, not legal advice.

Rush & Same-Day Service

Urgent deadline? Rush and same-day attempts when our schedule allows.

Quote this service

When a hearing is close or a deadline is near, ask about rush service. We will tell you honestly whether we can make a same-day attempt before you pay.

Rush pricing depends on the same factors as standard service (location, residence or business, and road access) plus the urgency.

What we need from you

  • All documents ready to serve
  • The best address and time window to find the person
  • Your exact deadline
Good to know: Rush service is subject to availability. Even rush attempts cannot guarantee that a person will be found or served.

Every serve includes a signed proof of service plus a photo or Meta glasses video of the service and/or a photo of the property. This is general information, not legal advice.

Video & Photo Proof of Service

Every serve includes a signed proof of service, plus photo documentation — a photo or Meta glasses video of the service and/or a photo of the property.

Quote this service

Every serve includes a signed proof of service, plus photo documentation: a photo or Meta glasses video of the service and/or a photo of the property. This gives you a clear record of how and where service happened.

Video is captured hands-free with Meta camera glasses when it can be recorded safely and lawfully. Photos and video are shared only with you and the court as needed, and are never posted publicly.

What we need from you

  • Nothing extra: documentation is included with every serve
  • Tell us if you have special documentation needs for your case
Good to know: Photos and video support, but do not replace, the signed proof of service. A proof of service signed by a registered process server is presumed to state the facts correctly unless evidence shows otherwise (Evid. Code § 647).
